Twin Valley has concluded their “Spirit of the Season” initiative by announcing 3 winning families.  The grand prize was awarded to Alec, Samantha, Evan & Harmony Trembath of Clay Center (pictured above).  The Trembath’s welcomed newborn Harmony on December 7th at just 25 weeks old.  Harmony weighed 1 lb 3 oz at birth, and is being cared for at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka.  Harmony’s mother Samantha has been staying at the Ronald McDonald House, and traveling back-and-forth between Clay Center and Topeka.  Alec and 7-year-old Evan have been holding down the fort in Clay Center while Harmony continues her fight at Stormont-Vail.

Twin Valley provided the Trembath’s with a holiday meal, toys, presents, gift cards and other gifts from their community partners including Wall’s True Value, Kier’s, Gibson’s, Ray’s Apple Market, Sink, Gordon, & Associates, and photographer Michelle Tassaro.  In addition, the Trembath’s will receive 1 complimentary year of Digital TV, home phone, and High Speed Internet services, courtesy of Twin Valley.

“Our family would like to thank Twin Valley, its employees, and the other businesses that participated for making this a memorable Christmas for our family,” said Samantha Trembath.

As the nominations were reviewed, Twin Valley employees rallied to ensure that 2 additional families also received the “Spirit of the Season” initiative.  Twin Valley staff members were inspired to donate an additional $1,000 that was distributed to these families.  These personal employee donations will enable each family to spend money on whatever they choose this holiday season.   Mike & Beth Jensen and Sheryl Gaines received gifts for their children, along with a Kindle Fire tablet and hundreds-of-dollars in VISA gift cards.

“Just when you think you are having a horrible day, Twin Valley comes along and makes everything so much better,” said Beth Jensen.  “We never thought anything like this would happen to us.”

“We are very proud of the communities and people our company serves.  This was a fantastic initiative and yet another way we can give back to our communities,” said Ben Foster, President of Twin Valley.  “I am equally as proud of our employees who took it upon themselves using their own pocketbooks to extend the Spirit of the Season to other families. We have the best and most caring employees, and I count my blessings that I know and work with each of them,” said Foster.

Twin Valley and its partners would like to thank all of the people who nominated deserving families this holiday season.
